The controversy continues. Mike from Montclair, a.k.a. Mike Goldstein, spoke to the New York Daily News, talking about how he became so frustrated listening to Gov. Chris Christie guest hosting on WFAN for Mike Francesca, and how he heard Christie bully another Montclair resident.

“Christie did what he always does: he talked over the guy, he insulted the guy, he insulted Montclair, he basically sort of ran him off the air, and the guy went away meekly,” Goldstein said. “And at that point, I decided I’m not going to do that. I’m going to go on the offensive.”

Goldstein picked up the phone and called Christie a fat ass. Christie responded by saying he loves getting calls from “communists in Montclair.”

 

 

Since the call, Montclairions have shown their support for Goldstein on social media. You can buy a T-shirt, “The Commie” mocking Christie’s statements. And, a petition has been started to get Christie (good luck!) to hold a town hall in Montclair. Started by an unnamed Montclair resident, the petition states… “We would like to meet Chris Christie face to face to educate him about the stereotypes he perpetuated on the air as well as hold him accountable for his last eight years in office.”

How will it all end? Will Mike from Montclair be a guest on Late Night with Stephen Colbert? Will Christie ever apologize? Will Christie and Rodney Frelinghuysen hold a town meeting together? Stay tuned…

    Is that the old adage you are referring to, flip?

    I’m sure that the bullying nature of Christie is exactly what decent people see and despise in themselves. As opposed to singularly seeing that characteristic in Christie himself.
