The new bike racks in Montclair materialized as a result of generous member donations and Partners for Health Foundation.
Bike&Walk Montclair writes…”Last winter, Bike Parking Solutions from Reliance Foundry, a premier provider of decorative and practical metal bike storage racks, offered free bike racks to schools and non-profits. Bike&Walk Montclair took advantage of this opportunity and wrote a compelling essay to “win” 10 bike racks. With online donations, personal checks and employee matching gifts, we raised over $300 to pay for shipping in just a few days.”
Look for the new bike rack in the South End Center, Nauna’s/Quick Check, Yoga Montclair and Upper Montclair! According to Bobby Schlaefer of Schlaefer Masonry, the rack by Starbucks had a bike locked to it within five minutes of installation.
Tom Moloughney, owner of Nauna’s Bella Casa and longtime supporter of the annual family-friendly Tour de Montclair said, “We are very pleased we partnered with Bike&Walk Montclair and installed three bike racks on our plaza. Nauna’s and Quick Check customers have been using them frequently since the first day they were installed.”

Thank someone please for the good sense in using classic black and not the neon green that was used on a bunch of bike racks elsewhere in town a few years back. They provide the necessary utility and simply blend into the background.
