  1. So sad to hear the news. My favorite music from my childhood is Donna Summer’s music. My mom would put on records and we would disco dance in the living room. She was amazing and beautiful.

  2. It’s always a sad year for deaths in the music industry. It’s just that we are now getting to the point where the people dying are people we grew up with, and not our parents.

  3. Knew her longtime spouse, Bruce Sudano, a bit. Nice guy. Lucky guy to have had such a long relationship with such a famously nice, talented lady. She will indeed be missed (even if so-called “rock critics” were slow to acknowledge just how good a singer she was and how dynamic her recordings usually proved).

  4. Too young! Amazing performer — saw her in concert a few times. Will miss her — get the Live and More album and listen — great stuff.
