A reader from Montclair writes that she is missing her male cat, Lungo, since Tuesday, April 17. He was last seen in the vicinity of Midland Avenue and James Street. He is an indoor/outdoor grey tabby who has been neutered and vaccinated.
if you’ve seen Lungo, please contact pets@baristanet.com.

Looks like Lungo is about to be reunited with his owner. Will provide additional details when I have them.
Looking forward to good news. Last night I couldn’t even comment…I was so sad. Please, people, keep your animals inside. The life expectancy of a cat that goes outdoors (or a stray) is 2 years, and usually miserable ones. Hoping to hear good news soon.
Yes, it’s confirmed: Lungo has been reunited with his owner. He had a bit of a rough journey, which I will write about in a separate post, but the story has a happy ending. 🙂
Great news!
Good for Lungo. I have 2 male cats and they seem to long to chase the birds as they gaze out the window from the open sill. They seem to want to join us on the deck when they meow thru the glass door. But alas, if their life would be shorter I can continue to remind them they are better off inside. Then they chase each other for a few minutes and forget all about it.
Fantastic! I hope you consider microchipping, if Lungo isn’t already. Please keep him inside your home…they adapt.
