Montclair Kimberley Academy (MKA) will hold its inaugural Alumni Innovation Summit, on April 24-25, 2025, in celebration of the school’s 50th anniversary.

The summit will gather prominent alumni in media, finance, medicine, and technology, offering students extraordinary access to diverse, cutting-edge thinkers and opportunities for networking and mentorship.

Panel discussions and interactive presentations will explore the intersection of technology and ethics, and the impact of innovation on entrepreneurship, collaboration, and creativity. Panelists will describe their groundbreaking work and trace the influence of their years at MKA in building skills necessary to navigate and lead in a rapidly changing global landscape.

Alumni participants across a range of industries include Jeffrey Kindler, former chief executive officer and chairman of Pfizer; psychiatric epidemiologist Karestan Koenen at Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health; Adam Sussman, President of Epic Games, one of the world’s largest video game companies; Fidelity’s Pam Holding, who co-manages more than $1 trillion in assets; entrepreneur and philanthropist Alan Wilzig; and author and memoirist Alden Jones.

Industry Leaders

Panel moderators are also drawn from industry leaders in the MKA community, many of them parents of current or past MKA students. These include consumer product innovator Craig Dubitsky, New York Times reporter Kate Zernike, media executives Dan Cesareo and Bernadette Aulestia, and organizational psychologist Limor Regular.

“The Alumni Innovation Summit reflects the values and academic excellence that have distinguished MKA for half a century, and it also looks to the future,” said Head of School Nigel Furlonge. “By giving students a meaningful opportunity to engage with leaders shaping their world, the summit will spark a new sense of what’s possible in their own lives.”

The two-day conference includes sessions across MKA’s campuses that explore the moral implications of advancements in artificial intelligence, medicine, new media, and finance. In addition, panels will celebrate women in STEM and showcase exciting and unconventional career paths. MKA faculty will participate in smaller, curated conversations with panelists and students will be able to choose among panelist-led classroom lectures.
