Montclair Cooperative School parents celebrated the opening of the school’s new Innovation Lab at a reception earlier this month.
The lab is a 1500 square foot space that serves as a collaborative art and science classroom.
Upper School Art teacher Dawne Weaver and Science Teacher Heather McNallie prepared an exhibition of current student work, which demonstrated their studies of light refraction and nature observations.
Weaver and McNallie shared their vision for future projects inspired by the collaborative Innovation Lab. Parents enjoyed food from Co-op neighbors Butler & the Board and Artazu Bakery, and toasted the new art and science collaborative space.
