Name
Cathryn Bieg
Where do you live?
Bloomfield, southside
When did you move there?
2014, with a brief hiatus into the city…but we were lured back.
Where did you grow up?
Southern California, outside Los Angeles. When you meet me, you’ll see I have California Girl energy with Jersey Girl undertones.
How do you make a living? OR What is your everyday passion?
I’m a dating & relationship coach for people who are successful in their careers and crave that same success in their relationships. I offer one-on-one coaching and also group dating courses.
I also run Single Players Only; a local singles game night event. My husband is a game designer (Roblox, Mobile, and other digital platforms) and this is a passion project of ours to help singles find love, while being their awesome, authentic selves. You can find us on Instagram @singleplayersonly
If you see me around town you can ALWAYS stop me to talk about dating or relationships. I freakin’ love it! Or just book a free call at www.cathrynbieg.com/bookwithme
Coffee, tea, or … ?
Assam Boba Milk Tea from Cozy Tea Loft in Verona or Honey Oolong Boba Tea from Kung Fu Tea in Montclair.
What’s your idea of a perfect weekend day?
Secure a babysitter for our adorable three-year old and just hang with my husband, playing Playstation or Switch games, side-by-side on the couch and then have dinner at Palato or Turtle & The Wolf.
What’s your favorite local restaurant?
This is a loaded question for a woman who is five months pregnant, but I’ve been obsessed with Boom Chia and Good Chicken.
What’s on your nightstand?
Sticker-By-Number Mythological Creature Activity Book, “Finding The Mother Tree,” “The Mastery of Love.”
What are you listening to?
NPR/WNYC (love that Brian Lehrer), Top 40 in Pop and Rap. But lately I’ve been back to my 2000s emo rock, like Death Cab and Modest Mouse (happy melodies but a little cynical…)
What are your current indulgences?
It’s always Korean BBQ and soft tofu soup…it’s my comfort indulgence
What talent would you most like to have?
Singing and dancing…I cry when I watch performances of anybody just letting loose. I find it to be so moving!
What’s the worst-kept (or best-kept!) secret about your town?
We complain because we care. If you look past that, you’ll always find people who are stepping up and making positive change, they’re everywhere. And you can be one, too!
What do you hope they say about you at your funeral?
Funerals are a waste of money, just burn me up and have a party! (I do hope they felt they were loved by me, because I don’t have people in my life unless I love them.)
